No Auditions - come along and sing with us.

Jubilee gig - St Nix Barton 20220618 [wide].jpg

The power of the collective chorus is greater than the sum of its parts, so Parkside Singers of Ampthill is always looking out for new, fresh talent to swell our sound.

If you'd like to sing with us, why not get in touch?

We meet & rehearse on Tuesday evenings each week from 8pm to 10pm  at Parkside Hall in Woburn Street.

Parkside Singers welcome voices of all ranges and singers of all levels to try us out. We currently have around 40 members made up of Soprano (1st & 2nd), Alto, Bass and Tenor singers.

All potential members are welcome but they must be able to demonstrate their ability to sing to an acceptable level.

There is no audition to join. Probationary Choir members will be advised by the Musical Directors when it is felt that you are ready to participate in  concert.

Come and have a go if you love to sing! We do!

See you soon...

Sheet Music

All members are asked to contribute £3 each week for the running costs of Tuesday choir rehearsals. [This covers fees, hall-hire, PPE and cleaning materials, etc.]

Full (non-probationary) choir members pay an annual subscription (£25).  This money is used to cover the cost of music purchase, hire of the hall for concerts, etc, the services of our accompanists for rehearsals and concerts, insurance, membership of the National Association of Choirs, web and administration costs.

Singers are provided with their sheet music but need to supply a black folder to keep it in.  All music is the property of the Choir and is returned to the choir upon the member's leaving.

Please remember that Parkside Singers of Ampthill are a "not-for-profit" mixed SATB community choir. We aim to cover our costs. We also build up a small reserve in case of cancellation costs or against future replacement of our major asset - our Yamaha electric piano (probably due within 3-5 years).
